Axigen Mail Server - Axigen can't communicate with the LDAP server

Axigen can't communicate with the LDAP server even if the configuration is correct.

Solution

When using the LDAP connector to integrate Axigen with the LDAP server to authenticate users, for example, the LDAP server must be set up with support for the second version of protocol communication (LDAP v2.0).

While using the slapd daemon this can be accomplished either during the setup procedure, either by uncommenting the following line in the slapd configuration file (i.e. /etc/ldap/slapd.conf):

allow bind_v2
NOTE: This change will require a LDAP service restart before the changes are applied.
