How to configure AXIGEN to add a "[Virus]" tag in Subject header of messages detected as Virus by your AntiVirus solution.
This applies only if the "virused" message is not discarded.
Solution
In order to tag messages detected as virus by the AntiVirus application used, you need to add the following message rule. From the Webadmin interface go to Security & Filtering menu, Incoming Message Rules context and click Add Message Rule.
You are now in the New Message Rule wizard. Follow the steps below:
- Write a suggestive Message rule name for this new rule
- Leave Enable this incoming rule checked
- From the first Condition field select Custom
- In the second field write: X-AxigenVirus-Level
- From the third field select Is
- In the fourth field write: 5
- From the first Action field select Change subject
- From the second field select prepend
- In the third field write the desired tag. Example: [Virus]
- Click Save Configuration to save the new rule
Additionally, an almost identical new rule, that tags suspicious messages, can be added. In order to do this, follow the same steps above, but:
- In the fourth Condition field write: 4
- In the third Action field write the desired tag. Example: [Suspicious]
NOTE: Both actions from Security & Filtering menu, AntiVirus and AntiSpam context, AntiVirus Actions tab, will need to be set to Deliver in order to enable the virus message tagging.
