This article describes how to test if your antivirus solution is working with AXIGEN

Solution

To test if the antivirus software is working correctly and is detecting viruses use the following procedure:

* Go to the Eicar Anti-virus Test website
* Download one of the provided files. Note that none of them are real viruses and that it is safe to store and transmit them and even execute them. As a shortcut use this link to download one of the files use this link: http://www.eicar.org/download/eicar_com.zip

Then all you have to do is send an e-mail via AXIGEN with this file attached. You will then be able to see if the anti-virus is detecting viruses by examining the log files.
