How to Upgrade from Axigen X2 Update 2 to Axigen X3

This article describes the steps required for the upgrade process from Axigen X2 Update 2 (10.2.2.x) version to Axigen X3 (10.3.0).

Solution

To upgrade from X2 Update 2 to Axigen X3, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download the corresponding package from our downloads section: https://www.axigen.com/mail-server/download/
  2. Stop the Axigen service.
  3. Create a backup of the Axigen working directory using the suggestions in our related knowledge base article: https://www.axigen.com/kb/show/158
  4. NOTE: For a restoring process of Axigen consult our article at: https://www.axigen.com/kb/show/161
  5. Please note that the downloaded Axigen X3 package is an installer. Run the installer and follow the on-screen installer instructions to complete the upgrade process.
  6. Since this is only an upgrade, please make sure that you skip the Axigen post-install configuration wizard.
  7. Start the Axigen service.
