This article contains the procedure required to repair a user account that is no longer be accessible or some messages can no longer be accessed by that account.

Solution

1. Log into the CLI using the telnet application:

telnet 127.0.0.1 7000
2. Enter the administrative username:

<login> user admin
3. Enter the password:

<password> your_admin_password
4. Select the domain holding the account you need to repair:

<#> update domain name example.test
5. Start the repair procedure:

<domain#> REPAIR Accounts test-account
You will then be presented with the status of the repair procedure. This above example will repair the account "test-account" from the domain "example.test" on the 127.0.0.1 mail server. You will need to adapt the values to fit your settings.

6. To list the accounts, use this command next:

<domain#> list accounts
You will see the repaired account in the list if the repair procedure was successful:

test-account.00000015.repaired
The account must be renamed before it can be accessed by the user. The password will be identical to the previous one set for this user.
