Spam Folder Not Available in Email Client

After defining an user account in your email client and successfully connecting to the Axigen server, you cannot view the Spam folder in your email client folder tree.

Solution

The below procedures apply to Outlook Express, Outlook 2003 SP3, Outlook 2007 and Thunderbird email clients, when using a simple IMAP account.

To access the Spam folder via the Outlook express email client while using IMAP, you can simply select the respective account name in the folders list go to the Tools menu -> IMAP Folders and select the All tab in the new IMAP folders window, select the Spam folder and click on the "Show" button in the upper right side of the respective window.

To access the Spam folder via the Outlook email client while using IMAP, select the respective account name in the folders list, right-click on the account name and select from the pop-up menu "IMAP Folders". In the new window click the "Query" button. Select the All tab in the new IMAP folders window, select the Spam folder and click on the "Subscribe" button in the middle-right side of the respective window. Click "Apply" and then the "OK" button.

To access the Spam folder via the Thunderbird email client while using IMAP, you must select the respective account name in the folders list go to the File menu -> Subscribe and select the Spam folder in the "Select the folders to subscribe to" list. Check the box related to the Spam folder and click the "Subscribe" button in the upper right side of the respective window.

NOTE: This method can be used to Subscribe to other folders of the Axigen account that are not opened by default.
