(3) Domains to (1) Please Help

Hello,

I have (3) domains and I would like to move all the accounts from (2) of the domains into the Primary domain and then remove the (2) empty domains and use domain alias for mail delivery for the moved accounts.

Reason for this is I am seeing many bad login attempts on SMTP-IN 587 with random username and sometime correct username bad password currently I have no cert on SMTP-IN 587 because. All domains use the same IP. I was able to solve this with WebMail using the virtual host option but I do not see anything like that for SMTP-IN 587.

Am I thinking correctly? Any help appreciated.

P.S. this is my second post attempts as it seems Axigen Bot thought my last post was a SPAM attempt.

Hello,

For sure login attempts will not be stopped by using a certificate - here it will be better to install fail2ban and configure it to monitor security.txt log file so it will block any repetitive login attempts with bad password or username.

Also, my advice is to stop using a valid Primary Domain (which has the only advantage of using login credentials without the @domain).

Thank you for the response. That is how it is setup now.

I have fail2ban running and the current setup is a Empty Primary Domain with two other active domains.

According to your comment I am probably setup well enough as is.
