My Internet IP keeps getting added to the Abusix.com web site as soon as I send an email to an external email address, e.g. from @ to @iinet.net.au. I think the same thing occurs if I send an email to one of my email server’s email addresses using an external email address e.g From @iinet.net.au to @.
Here is a snapshot of the received email moment after the sending completes. The email is from from my MAILER-DAEMON@ :
And also just above a snapshot of what the Abusix website says about my IP address.
Notice the “ABUSE CONTACT” (above) email address, it’s one of my ISP’s email addresses noc@swtaff.iinet.net.au. It seems my ISP has detected that I am running my own Email server upon the 1st email send and then sent an “abuse” email to Abusix.com which results in my internet IP to be blacklisted presumably in the ‘Email Server world’. And notice the SUMMARY: “This is not a problem unless you are running an SMTP server on this IP”.
Does any have any idea why this is occurring and how to solve this? I have tried different ports normal, SSL, etc, and the same issues occurs.
