My profile picture do not show up for Email recipients

Hello everyone,

Anybody know why my profile pictures don’t show up for email recipients? I tried uploading a picture from the admin panel as well as from the webmail panel (even though it doesn’t make sense).

Both the followin options are enabled:
Include this domain's accounts in the public address book and Include this domain in WebMail's domain selection list whatever that means.

I just switched to Axigen, the absence of our logo in the sent emails makes us look unprofessional.

Also, the profile pictures of whoever emails us don’t show up too. If this issues are not resolvable we’ll endup switching to something else. The process of setting up an email server and migrate is tidious and time consuming, and I don’t want to do that again if possible.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello Nasriya,

You most probably missed something very simple: the so called “profile picture” is a local resource and, because there is no* protocol for exchanging in a safe manner this info with other email services this means that it will be displayed only in Axigen WebMail interface and only to the recipients from the same domain as the sender.

  • maybe you have heard about BIMI (for which we are planning to support from X6) but does not have extensive support through the onther email services and, most important, it is intended for displaying a company logo and not a per account image.

A final note: the source of the sender "avatar"picture displayed into Axigen WebMail is not only from the sender local “profile picture” but from the recipient own address book and from the Gravatar online service.

This means that you most probably have to choose other email solution.

On the other hand if you find one that is solving this task and is not a cloud based (like Gmail, Yahoo, Office365, etc) please let us know as we are not aware about any on-premise solution (like Axigen) that is solving this task 100% for any email recipient.

Have a nice day,
Ioan

Thank you very much for the valueable information. Much appreciated.
